Women and Youth Empowerment

At INWRDAM, empowering women and youth is central to our strategy, ensuring a fair representation in all our activities is foundational to our approach. Youth engagement is a pillar of our strategy. Our efforts extend to academic collaborations, offering students from universities and school children hands-on training and research opportunities, and coverage of master's degree programs in water management and sustainability. To set a remarkable impact on strengthening capacities of future leaders and influencers, INWRDAM established a youth council following the recommendations of the 2nd National Water Harvesting Policy Dialogue in Jordan, conducted on the 12th of November, 2023. Further enriching our commitment to nurturing the next generation, the Blue Peace ME Youth Fellowship Program (YFP) engages recent graduates and young professionals from the Middle East, offering them a unique platform to explore transboundary water cooperation and to employ the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus as a pivotal tool for fostering cooperation and sustainable development across the region. Believing in the critical role of outreach, our initiatives extend to providing support for Young talented journalists focusing on climate-change issues and environment through regular dialogue and capacity building programs that consider real opportunities to learn, practice, and impact others.
