Description

"In alignment with recommendations from previous workshops, INWRDAM recently conducted a comprehensive session to reflect on lessons learned from prior knowledge management interventions. This session was a key component of the WEFE Hub Project, which is being implemented under the UfM WEFE Program and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). The workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MoWI), the Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy (MoMER), as well as Jordanian and Palestinian universities, the private sector, local communities, youth, and gender experts. Participants engaged in detailed discussions to assess and address capacity and training needs related to the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus. This dialogue aimed to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancing knowledge management and stakeholder engagement in the WEFE Hub Project. The workshop also focused on developing strategies to strengthen the capacity of various stakeholders and provide targeted training to address the specific needs identified for Jordan. By incorporating insights from previous interventions, the session aimed to ensure that the WEFE Hub Project effectively addresses current challenges and supports sustainable development goals.
